The real meaning of morning sickness is nausea and vomiting during pregnancy. Around 50-80 percent of pregnant women experiences from morning sickness during the period of pregnancy. The incidence is more during the morning time but can also occur in the daytime. It is most ordinary in the first trimester of pregnancy but occasionally lasts till last trimesters.

  • Take teaspoon limejuice, a teaspoon mint juice, and a tablespoon sugar thrice in a day.
  • It is not better to keep the stomach empty. For this six small meals rather than three large meals are recommended.
  • Fried and fatty foods should be restricted
  • Good amount of vitamin B and calcium should be incorporated in the diet.
  • Eat a high protein snack before going to sleep at night.

  • Foods rich in protein and complex carbohydrates must be included in the diet.
  • Drink wheat germ dissolved in warm milk, a few teaspoons each hour.
  • Put three drops of lavender essential oil and one of peppermint in a diffuser or humidifier to smell the air.
