Eyes Caring with Proper Food and Exercises


Eyes are one of the most sensitive features of our body. To enhance eyes and get maximum out of them we need to give them extra care, which requires eating right food for the eyes, resting them and doing exercises to increase their sight and flexibility. In today's world we make our eyes do more work and less rest.Watching television for long hours, working on computers day and night and lack of sleep makes the eyesight weak and eye muscles get tired. They need some extra care which means giving them right food and right workouts to improve them.

Food for the eyes

Eating green vegetables, fruits, dairy products as milk and curd, especially vitamin A and D rich food is essential for the eyes. Fruits, which are rich source of vitamin A as apple and mango, help eyes to keep the sight strong. Spinach is a great source of vitamin A, which should be included in daily diet in form of soups and vegetables. These days most of the kids getting spectacles or lenses on eyes at a very early age due to lack of nutrition in their daily diet. They usually prefer to eat junk food which does not fulfill their body's needs and eyes are the part of the same body.

Acupressure and massage for the eyes

  • Some pressure points are eyebrows, center of the eyebrows, place between the eyebrows and eyes, beginning corner of the eyes, end of the eyes' corners and below the eyes. One can start putting mild pressure on the eyes starting from the center of the eyebrows to the middle, both corners of the eyes and the lower part of the eyes with the help of the fingertips. It improves the blood circulation around the eyes and helps those who frequently get sty in their eyes. One should be careful while touching eyes that the hands should be clean otherwise eyes can get infection.

  • With the help of two first fingers of the hands, put slight pressure on the centre of the closed eyelids and rotate the eyes. It soothes the muscles and relaxes them from stress. This practice can be done while working on the computer or while reading something to de-stress the eyes.

  • Taking a little olive oil or vitamin E oil on fingertips and applying it around the eyes, putting a little pressure on the pressure points help reducing the fine lines and dark circles. If one has dark circles on and around the eyes, one can use the dark circle removing cream instead of the oils.

Exercises

these simple exercises can be done everyday for minutes to keep the eyes bright and healthy. They can be done in any time of the day.

  • Open your eyes wide and rotate them clockwise slowly. First up, then right side, then down and at last left, and then center. Practice it 5 times then repeat the same exercise anti-clockwise. It increases the flexibility of the eye muscles. When feeling sleepy while working, one can practice this exercise to open up the eyes.
  • Moving eyes left and right for 5 counts helps making the muscles strong.
  • Watching a lighting candle with concentration from at least 4 feet distance increases the eyesight and concentration.
  • Close the eyes and rotate them with the help of fingertips. 

To increase the beauty of the eyes

here are a few tips, which are extremely helpful in enhancing the lost beauty of the eyes.
  • Walking empty feet on the green grass early morning helps to increase the eyesight.
  • Drinking half glass of coriander juice is extremely helpful for the eyes.
  • Cotton balls soaked in chilled cucumber juice, if kept on the eyes for 10-15 minutes help eyes relax and reduces the dark circles around the eyes.
  • Combination of castor oil and olive oil if applied on the eyelashes makes them thicker and longer to increase the beauty of the eyes.
  • Massaging the eye circles with vitamin E oil or vitamin E based cream helps in reducing the dark circles around the eyes.
  • Eyes Exercise and massaging of the eyes helps in reducing the puffiness of the eyes.
  • Cotton balls soaked in chilled rose water helps to boost the eyes.
  • Tea water cotton balls kept on the eyes for 10-15 minutes help in decreasing dark circles and make eyes look fresh and refreshing.
  • Never sleep without removing your eye make up. Always use a good quality eye make remover to remove it and them sleep.
  • Never share your eye make up as eye pencils, liners and mascara with others. This way you might catch eye infection or pass it on to others.
  • Almond oil is very good for the eyes, it should be used to massage on the eyes to brighten them.
So a little care and awareness can get you beautiful eyesight and perfect eyes.
