Nutrition for the hair is as important as the nutrition for other body parts. As we need to feed proper to our body to look and work in a better way, we need to do the same when nurturing the hair.
Even the plants don't grow if they don't get the right kind of food for them. So to prevent the hair from early damage and to maintain their natural beauty we need to give them the right food to grow and nurture otherwise they become gray before the right time, starts falling, tend to break and appear rough, dull and lifeless.
- You need to eat a balanced diet to keep your hair away from all hair damages. Your diets should include all nutrients values as proper proportion of iron, calcium, potassium, vitamins, green vegetables, fruits and dairy products. Nuts are a rich source of many vitamins and iron so one should have at least 2 nuts a day.
- Drink water at least 2 liters of water in a day and never leave fluid deficiency in your body. Have fruit juices, coconut water which is very good for the hair to provide extra care to the hair. Its good not only for your hair but also for your skin. It keeps the body and hair hydrate by providing them sufficient amount of moister.
- Avoid tea and coffee, as they are not good for hair and skin. Avoid smoking because nicotine makes your hair older much before the age. Cut off your drinking habit if you consume alcohol as such things are neither good for health nor for your hair. As healthy hairs are the reflection of a healthy body, eat and drink healthy.
- Sleep well. Eight hours of sleep is necessary for an adult. Lack of sleep affects your overall health and makes your hair fall.
- Scalp massage is good for hair. Oil too is a food for hair. So one should nourish them with almond oil, coconut oil or olive oil. Some herbal oil contains most of the essential oils and herbs for the hair. One can use them to apply on the hair and scalp for massage. Massage increases the blood circulation, which is good for the health of the hair.
- Vitamin E is very essential for hairs. So one should eat things, which contains more of vitamin E. Almonds, are a rich source of vitamin E, one can use vitamin e rich oil on the hair and can have vitamin E capsules to make the hair shine.
- Any kind of workout boosts the blood circulation. If you do exercise regularly, it reflects even on your hair along with your body and skin.
- Hair keep on growing and the texture and growth of the hair depends on the genes of the person which are formed before one' birth. So everybody has a different hair growth, hair type and hair life. Usually an adult loses up to 100 hairs a day, which is quite normal. New hair replaces the old one as they grow from the roots. But is you are losing hair at an alarming rate in the young age, and then you need to visit a doctor. Which can prescribe you the right things to be used on your hair. Hair specialist may provide you some extra doses of zinc, iron and calcium if you are lacking them in your diet.
Always use good quality products for your hair. If you keep changing the brand and never bother about the type of the shampoo and conditioner for your hair, you can damage your hair. Always brush your hair properly and never brush them when they are wet as hairs and their roots are the weakest when they are wet. Most of us have a habit of brushing hair hard with a towel to remove the water from the wet hair after shampoo. Its very wrong for their health as it weakens the roots and hair breaks more. So after washing always wrap your hair in a towel for a while.
Avoid drying your hair with hair drier. The hot air is not good for the hair. It makes them rough and dry and damages the natural color and shine. Let the hair dry naturally in natural air. Do not tie hair too hard it will weaken the roots of them and if once hair start losing from the roots they don't grow back under the same root. Some people start losing their hair in patches because of some scalp infection or genetic problems, as baldness is something, which is hereditary. It cannot be cured if the problem becomes serious so start taking precaution if you notice the hair fall at an alarming rate. Be hygiene conscious for your hair. Do not share your hairbrush, combs and towel with others to prevent your scalp from any infection.
So eat and drink healthy and live a healthy lifestyle for the good of your hair and your body.
